How does this sound?

A guy is selling a 1984 F-250 supercab diesel, 4 speed, 2 wheel drive. Body is shot and motor is out with the heads off. He said that he pulled the motor because it was not acting right. He was going to rebuild it, but when he checked it out he found that the internals were still good. It turns out that it was just a blown head gasket. The guy bought a new truck and said he would like to get 700 dollars for the 84. He put a brand new rad in and paid 500 dollars for it, he just wants to try to get his money back from the rad. From the description i am giving you guys, is 700 canadian worth it? How can I talk him down in his price? I was thinking of asking if he would sell the truck without the rad and finding an inexpensive used one to use. This is just a project truck i'm looking for.

flash $500.00 dollars in front of his face and tell him that's all you have. if he says no leave your phone number and walk away. wait a few days and see if he calls you. if he wants to get rid of it bad enough he will call. if he doesn't call go back in a couple of weeks and offer a little more. if he wants it out of his yard he will take it.

Scott,
You better follow Banks' coaching. I think he's done this a few times!
