headers and everything else

so let me get this straight, 351m/400 headers will fit 351c heads?

also its comming time for me to buy the parts for my 400
hows this sound
~edelbrock performer intake manifold non-egr
~holley 600cfm street legal carb
~*how would a mr. gasket street scoop work, you know the one with the three butterflies, like on superchargers*
~possibly 351c heads, if my headers fit, i think they make cyclinder head adapter plates?
~would i have to use a 351c mainfold with those heads, or can i still use the 351m/400
~should i get lunati hydraulic cam- Adv. Duration: 290°/300°,Gross Lift: .536''/.562''
RPM Range: 2000-6000, or would this be too much?
~flowmaster 40 series performance mufflers
~3.55 or 3.73 gears?

would a stock c6 be able to handle this and maybe more, or should i upgrade or rebuild, 140,000 miles and still shifts perfectly, also im aware a cam that high in duration requires a higher stall converter

will these parts work, and give me the hp boost im looking for, if not what else can i do, this is for my first vehicle, 78 f250 ranger-400 c6, im basically looking for a loud rice eating truck, you know pull up next to those lil boys with their honda civics and just blow them away, our town is full of the coffee can exhaust stock ricers

~~also can u hook up an auto. rachet shifter to any auto trans~~

first of there is two different 351C heads the 351c 2v heads are direct bolt on, the 351c 4v heads will bolt on the block but intakes, and headers will not bolt up, so what are you looking at, if you want ot run the 4v heads then yes you will have to run a Cleve manifold with the adapter plates, but if you want the 2v heads, I don't like the performer manifolds, but with the 351m/400 engines not alot of choices without the adapter plates. the mister gasket hood scoop is just a looks thing doesn't do anything for performance except maybe hurt it but that is a choice only you can make I prefer open filment airfilters with a nylon cover. And your cam selection is probably too much for a performer intake but it might be okay with the 400, and I would look to a 750cfm carb instead of the 600.
Go with the lower 3.73 gears for better pickup or better yet 4.11 but you didn't say how high your tires are or whether you want to run alot of freeway but the lower gears wil definatly give you more pickup for eating ricers.
yes a C6 will handle way more power than you will be putting out, but with that many miles I would rebuilt it, and put in a shift kit atleast stage 2
Don't know anything about the flowmasters, my street truck is a desiel, and the other one doesn't have mufflers.
And yes you can hook a ratchet shifter to about any auto trans, just check the manufactors list of apps, I am running a B&M quick silver shifter on my C6, and when you buy a new one the come with the brackets for almost all of the common transmissions.
hope that answer some of what you were wanting to know, and probably causes more questions than I ansered
