King Pin help needed
Hi Guys,
I've got a 1981 f100 I need to replace the king pins on this fall and could use any advice or tips you could give to make this job easier.
Parts places carry both nylon and metal bushings, I plan to go with the metal and have a machine shop ream the spindles and fit the pins.
Years ago I replaced them on a 61 f100 and as I remember had a heck of a time, finally had to drop the axle out of the truck to get them free don't want to do that again..
Dust shields are almost rusted away I'll probably scrounge the yards or maybe run without.
