stock wire decode
I have a stock am/fm/cassette out of a ford that I am looking to install in a tractor of mine. (can't hardly hear anything over the tractor anyway, so sound quality is not a big deal). As best I can tell it is out of a early 90's t-bird. It has two harnesses in the back, one which is the speaker output, and one for power input. (one black, one gray) I need help with what is what on the power harness.
Here are wire colors in order:
lt. grn w/ prpl stripe
solid black
yellow w/ blk strp
lt. blue w/ rd strp
orange w/ blk strp
black w/ drk grn strp
The only notable thing is that the blk w/ grn strp wire is about twice as thick as the others.
Thanks for your help. I don't own the car, or I would just look in a shop manual.
