Still having problems

Ok, I'm still having problems. My 91 3 liter is still loping at idle and is hard to start. I've replaced the plugs, fuel filter, and idle air control valve. I think I need to get my fuel pressure checked, but I don't have a fuel pressure gauge. Now a question about that, since the fitting on the fuel rails is the same as a tire, and because fuel is measured in PSI, couldn't I just use a tire gauge on the fuel rail? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone can use an idle air control valve, let me know, since I hate to see one go to waste.

yes you can use a tire pressure gauge on that, hold it on tight and have some one crank the engine over, you should get about 40-45psi if it is much lower then your fuel pressure regulator is bad, or the fuel pump is bad. I did mine with a tire pressure gauge and it worked fine, did not even spill any fuel. Have you tried replacing the MAP sensor, if this is bad the it can cause your problems.

If you have been flooding lately it could be your 02 sensor. My 93 3.0 does this trick quite often in temp changes. pull codes and see what you get.
