I tried this in the brake and steering forum but didn't get any replies. I'm replacing my ball joints in an '84 F-150 and the brake shields that bolt behind the spindle are rusted to nothing. I thought I could get new ones in LMC, but their latest catalog doesn't show them. Does anyone know where I could get them? Is this a dealer type item?
Thanks guys, especially Andy. It must have been really close when you responded to my other post and when i entered this one. Thanks again and like I always say, this is the best site ever.

I'd leave them off. I think JBG wants $50 a piece, and I don't have them on my F150 or my F250.
I haven't priced them at a dealer yet, probably this weekend. I'll look into a boneyard too, but they would have to be off the truck- I'm not gonna crack the spindles off another old truck. It took me a long time to get mine off.. almost gave up and went to the mechanic. But this site came to the rescue again for that problem. Now that I know, I may just as well leave them off. Thanks alot guys for all your help.
