Question Battery Problems - to Simple

I have a 2002 F250 with 60k miles. Park it over night or 24 to 28 hrs later. Battery is dead. Jump starts just fine. Turns over with no problem. Drive around town, usually no problem. Might occasionally get a slower turnover to start motor. Had the dealer check the battery. The crank/amp was ok. The systems are: Inside lights are dim, the head lights are dim, when in park and turning the head lights on and pressing on the gas pedal the inside and outside lights become noticeably brighter. This morning had to call tow trunk to give jump-start. Took the kids to school and parked the truck in my driveway and let it run for 15min’s. I could smell sulfur inside the truck. I opened the hood and felt the battery unusually hot. I could see steam coming from the battery led vents. I could also see the acid/liquid boiling. Could it be just a bad battery? (Original battery). This is my first post – thanks for any direction.

Yep, check the voltage regulator and the alternator as well. I'm really surprised they ddin't do that at the dealership.
