Ford Wrangler
At one time I read an article that ford was going to compete directly with the Jeep Wrangler by introducing a similiar product to the market. Does anyone have any information on this subject. I imagine it may be an explorer sport with a soft and hard top option?

I've haven't heard this. If they do decide to go ahead with it, I suggest they resurrect the Bronco name. After all, for about a decade, the orginial Bronco was like a jeep. Just a thought!

Ford did make the EX concept that looked a lot like a jeep/buggy thing. ive heard that they were going to produce but i havent seen anything on it. I think that if Ford came out with somethin like the early broncos that more people would buy those than anything, it would help in the "younger generation" buyers group.

I don't think they're going to do it. Any small truck like early Bronco meant to compete with the Jeep would pull sales away from the Escape. The two products would be two similar to the average buyer - granted any real truck guy knows the Escape is just a funny looking car.
