TV control cable

Hi,
i need your help.
The owner of the truck before me removed the TV cable, so i have ordered one, but it is´nt in Germany yet.
Well, i have to drive around the block and park the car at another place. Can i damage anything in the transmission without that cable ? and where i should connect it at the transmission ? The picture in the Haynes is not clear to me.

Thanks Andy

Driving the vehicle even a very very short distance will destroy your transmission. You will need to push or tow the vehicle. I hope the transmission is not already destroyed.
