vibration at 40mph

I would just get another tire. Does it have a bulge on the tread surface, like it's splitting?
Anyway, I'm glad you found it. I was gonna recommend jacking up each wheel and spinning it to look for out of round/bubbles but you said it only appeared to do it at 40 mph. It has to be doing it at all speeds, but it just gets more noticable at 40.

Yeah, the roads here are pretty bumpy, so I probably just didn't notice the vibration at any other time. The tires are used, I got them as a early graduation gift, so I don't know their history, but they look like they are in really good shape. I was surprised, too, that 33"s fit without a lift.
