'04 F550 Questions
Hey guys I,m looking into a 04 F550 6.0L s/c 4x4 auto with a dump body. what RPM am i going to see on the highway? and if anyone has any mileage figures on one of these that would be great, Thanks

you dont get a choice of gears in a 550. u get 4.88 with the 6.0 and 5.13 with the v10.
u will get:
55mph=2250
70=2650
83(limiter)almost 3000
thats perfect for loads. and if ya want a bit more speed, sell the 225/70's that come on it, and get a set of 245/70's....they have a way better rating anyway and they run with 110psi instead of 95.

the tires are close to the same size, but the gears are way off.
my tires are 32.1" and those are 31.7"
so with that difference and the gearing difference factored in, the 4.10 with those tires is turnin at 2440rpm at 75.....
