High RPMs at 75 MPH

I'm running at about 3000rpms at 75 mph, is that normal? I have a '97 F250, 5 speed. I'm not sure what the tranny is geared at, but it really sucks the fuel on the highway!

I have a 96 250 5 speed, and i'm running about 27 to 28 hundred RPM's at 75 MPH. I'm sure you have the same rear as I do, 4.10 limited slip which is axle code c-5, located on the driver's side door jam. One way to improve this slightly is larger tires. Another way is only to swap out the rear for 3.55's.

I would swap to 3.55's, we had a 97 4x4 crewcab 350 with 4:10's and they sucked, a neighbor could tow just as mutch as us with his 3:55's. It will make life alot nicer.
