I have heard that the master code for the keypad on the door is inside the door itself. I want to check this, but before I broke anything, I thought I would check and see if anyone else had done this. If they did, one, is it true? Two, does the panel come off by separating panel from door with a flat bar.
Pop off the power window switch plate, and there is a screw under there. Then pop off the lower reflector and there is a screw under there. With the screws removed, lift the panel straight up. Do not pry out, just pull straight up BY HAND. Have fun and let us know if you find your key pad number.
Dont forget to pull off the black triangle trim piece first. Just pull it straight off it wont hurt it. I had all 4 door panels off mine though and I never found a code. But I wasnt looking for it though..... Good luck in your quest.
Here is a post I made last week on your exact topic
Good luck.
It is behind the radio.
I was able to lay in the floorboard, and use a mirror to see it.
The box is black, made by Bosch, and has three electrical plugs on the bottom.
The label was on the outside facing the radio, and you should be able to see it from the outside with the radio removed, but there was enough room to get a mirror in from underneath on mine.
The sticker has a lot of other writing on it, and the code was not obvious at first.
Now, if I can figure out how to get another ignition key(I only have 1).
Hope this helps,
Paul Low
Or just go to the dealer and have them plug the computer in & they can pull it, or at least that's what they did on my old Expedition. They didn't charge me anything to do it either.
I pulled the door panel off and there was a sticker with numbers, but none worked. I also pulled the radio, no sticker on the black box. There was a build sticker on the wire cluster that goes to the insturment panel with a ton of numbers, but none of those worked either. The local stealerships want $75 to hook up to the computer.
