Engine codes
Am new to site. Hi all. I have been Ford owner almost forever. Have a 1998 F-150. Check engine light keeps coming on. First time shop couldn't find anything with codes. Second time Oxygen sensors were replaced. Third time shop again couldn't find anything wrong. Codes retrieved. Everything fine now, but fear that check engine light will again appear. Any ideas/

Next time the check engine light comes on, if at all possible swing into a Autozone and they will scan the engine codes for free. Find out the exact code and then post it on here. I'm sure that someone can help you with it.
If the check engine light just keeps coming on and off. I would try taking your negative battery cable off for about 2 or 3 minutes and then put it back on and see if it comes back. That will reset you computer and maybe clear any internmitten codes.
