Does anybody know how and when TSBs get into the standard production process? Is there a lag? If so how long? If a TSB is issued after production but before delivery when does it get done? Who does it, the dealer? How do I know the Lariat I ordered is up to date wrt TSBs when I take delivery? How does Ford keep track of all this stuff?

Reason: Typo
TSBs are put into production as soon as possible after the problem is solved.
After that they only get done when a customer complains about a problem that fits the discripton of the TSB.TSBs are not done when you take your vehicle in for normal service.
Starting on 2005's when the tech pre delivers a new car or truck they have to check for TSB's and fix them before they are sold. After the car is sold Dr No is right it doesnt get fixed unless you complain about a problem.
Even then, they try and tell you that its normal since fixing TSB's take time to fix and the dealership doesnt get payed for it
You're kidding. I did not know thow that the dealer was not getting paid. I thought Ford paid them. I know the mechanics are paid by the job and book time. No houly wage I would'nt touch it either.
Let my clearify- they get paid, but not the normal stealership rate that they charge for uncovered work. This is why dealerships try and get warrenties rejected for the littest thing sometimes. No matter what, the mechanics get paid so they dont care eitherway
