Where is PCV on 97 Explorer

Where is PCV on 97 Explorer

I have a 97 Explorer, 4.0 V6 SOHC. Can anyone tell me where the PCV is located on this engine? Not in the usual spots---on valve covers. Thanks.

in between firewall and engine, near top of engine. It sits in a rubber tube and also has a "Y" out its top, going into two smaller hoses leading to either side of the engine.

Thanks---must be nearly impossible to see. Do you have to remove any of the intake assembly to get at it to change, or just feel your way through it?

it might help a teeny bit to remove the hard plastic shroud on top of the engine, but for the most part, if you look with a flashlight from the passenger side, you can see it and reach it
