I have a 79 f150. Will tailgates from any of the newer models fit on our trucks.

There is a 80's truck in town with a 73-79 tail gate on it, so I assume that a newer tail gate will fit on the 73-79's. I had a tail gate from a 69 on my 79 that fit and worked good, but the body lines didn't quite match.
