Aside from my Ranger and the boss's F-150, there are no other pool men driving Fords in the High Desert. Everyone else is running around in Toyotas. Are there any other "Recreational Water Maintenance Technicians" on the forum?
I'm not a recreational water maintenance technician but I drive a Ford and our Union, IUOE local #399, represents the pool tenders (sorry "recreational water maintenance tech.'s) at the university I work at.
I use to be a sheetmetal worker, installing and servicing HVAC equipment. I told someone one time I was an "indoor environmental management system installation and service specialist." The person I told this too was quite intrigued and thought I must be some sort of high tech person, they ask what exaclty that was. I told them I install and work on your heating and a/c systems.
thats ok its alot loftier than a "custodial technician", thats what we used to call the shop porter that couldnt speak english at the diesel shop i used to work in.
My summer job the past two years has been doing pool maintenance. All except two of my company's trucks are rangers - the other two are a 2500 chevy and an s10, both of which are falling apart.
