Question 1996 headlight replacement

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum. I had a rock take out the driver side headlight...how in the world do you remove the headlight? I see clips that apparently fasten the posts of the headlight assembly....how do you remove them? Any help would be greatly appreciated....

I believe you need to take off the headlight trim first. You can see the two phillips screws holding the top section easily. The next two bolts are a little tricky. There are two holes in the sheetmetal, down toward the bottom, that contain bolts that hold the lower turn signal light on. The bolts are either 10mm or 7/16" (the alzheimer's is kicking in). They're easier to get to if you remove the battery/coolant overflow tank. You kinda have to feel around for them, but they're there... after the bezel is removed, the headlight should be easy to remove.

Hello Trooper.
I was wondering how your replacement went. I have purchased the replacement headlights for my truck and then saw those same clips that hold them in. They look like they need a special tool to remove them. Any information from your experience might get me to try and change them. Thanks,
