I also noticed that when I went to take the bar out, I only had one bolt holding the little bracket that holds the one end of the torsion bar to the body on the passenger side. Does anyone know a good place to get a replacement bolt for that?

Wakeboarder,

I noticed something when I replaced mine recently. A difference if you will between my 92 and 93. The ring that holds the end of the bar in palce in the jamb has two bolts. the lower bolts is larger and threads into a nut the is wleded to the body. The upper bolt simply passes through a hole in the body and receives a nut from the back side (taillight side). Its slightly smaller but the realy nice thing is that you can install the nut and bolt combo loosely into the body and get the torsion bar run into the ring before you lock the ring down with the other bolt. Then with the bar in place and the lower botl tightened, the upper nut and bolt can be tightened last. Saves knuckles and fingers when re-installing the torsion bar. I say a difference because my 92 had BOTH bolts threading into nuts welded to the body which left veyr little play in the ring for installing the bar. I don't honestly know if this was a change made by Ford or some enterprising mechanic decided to spare his fingers when repairing the tailgate at some poit prior to my owning the truck. The upper bolt and nut was about a 3/8" and the lower was about 1/2" if memory serves.
