How do i get to the amp in my 93 explorer. i know where it is but do you have to remove the whole panel or is there a way you can remove the basket built into the panel and get to it from there?

You need to remove the whole panel. Not too difficult.

You can get an amp bypass kit from Crutchfield or similar store and not worry about it. I put one in and turned the gains all the way up and it sounds great.

Smile getting to the amp

Yes, you DO have to remove the whole panel. there are two "christmas trees" along the top of the panel (the round plug looking things...sorry I don't know the real name) three of them along the bottom of the window, and two on the pillar. I would suggest getting the tool to remove them. There are two screws on the pillar back at the liftgate door, and three more screws along the bottom of the panel under the carpet. I didn't remove the seatbelt...I had enough room to put in the bypass by removing all that hardware, and pulling the panel back.
