King Ranch

Is the King Ranch version worth the extra 1200. dollars. How about the leather. From the pictures it looks like it may scratch easy. Any body had a king ranch any really liked the leather.

I just purchased the King Ranch and I love the leather. Of course I have not had it long enough to stratch the leather. It is more than worth the extra 1200 IMO. In addition to the leather you get the power folder heated mirrors, heated seats, and running board, two tone paint.
I will post as soon as I can.

Trucklady: Looking forward to those pics myself. I am looking at ordering a F150 King Ranch also and am interested in seeing how those seats actually look too. I too am wondering how durable they are. Can't wait to see pics of your whole truck actually. Hurry hurry hurry! :-)

Do the KR trucks have bucket seats in the rear like the '03 KR's did?

I love the KR. I almost waited for the 05 but the price of an 04 Lariat was just too cheap. All that said...you will work your tail off to keep those seats nice. If you don't they will look and feel bad very quickly. If you have ever seen a KR that wasn't take care of it is really sad. Hand cleaned and conditioned monthly or else....at least that what I've been told.

I've got a 2001 King Ranch and the leather ages really nice. Like an old leather jacket.
You can scratch it but if you use a good leather preservative it just adds character.

I've got an '03 KR SuperCab. The leather is alot more absorbant that regular automotive leather, so you need to be really careful not to spill anything on it. Also, the King Ranch in Texas sells leather conditioner for it, I bought some and it works. The leather does scratch, but if you wipe it with a damp cloth, then condition, it looks fine. It does age, also, mine is getting darker where I sit. One thing I like is the KR leather is about twice as thick as regular leather. Bottom line, if you are very careful with your truck, buy the KR, if not, get cloth seats.
