First off, I'm a noob - just bought an '04 4x4 XLT Scab, 5.4L I want to get bigger tires as the stock ones Ford put on there are pathetic. What is the best and easiest way to get the speedo re-calibrated after changing my tires?
Can it be done without installing a Diable Predator or SUPERCHIPS tuner? If so, about what price is it going to cost me? Is it worth doing?
Thanks guys!

The procedure is really easy with either products. It walks you through it.
No, it wouldn't be cheaper to find someone in your area with one. Diablo and Superchips put in protections against software piracy. The programmers will only program one vehicle at a time. While a vehicle is programmed the tuner is VIN locked.
Thanks for your quick response - While posting, I am also reading up as much as possible on the 'net. Does the tuner have to be connected to the engine at all times or do I connect it to the engine, make the changes, then disconnect it.
I know these are noob questions and I thank you for your replies in advance.
A drill seargent told me once, the only DUMB question is the one that was NOT asked...
