I Bought a 1974 F250 8000lbs GVW RC 2wd truck it has 2 pistion front calapers I swapped trans first to a NP 435, and relised that the u-joint were WAY larger so I swapped in the Dana 60-w/ 3.73trak loc diff. loved it But I could not rotate the tires so I pulled the front end out of the donor first and got all the bushing kits and misc broke bolts and painted it. Then my 78 when up on stands and out with the 5 lug front -use lots of WD-40 it will HELP you big time I put in new hoses and pads along with bushings. The 3/4 front end was a direct swap I had 2 buddys for strength labor- the biggest part of my ordeal was getting the I-beams in thier perches -they bound up real bad so I fixed that with a sledge hammer I put the radious arms in first I not sure If I was suppose to do it that way but.. It took me 4 hours-lazy/rusted to take off front on doner truck 3hours to pull mine out and 2 to put 3/4ton front in/new bushing brake pads new bearings
It took me 30minutes to pull each rear axle and 45 to install . If you need to ask more let me know I was 17 when I did the swap(18 now)
later
Dustin
PS it was pretty easy though don't let my long post scare you I was just trying to be detailed
