Did F-350 one ton's have Twin I Beam independent front suspension before the F-100's and F-250's (some one told me so) or were they are changed over in 1965. Just curious, any replies will be appreciated. My grandfather has a '64 F-250 with a straight front axle so I assume that F-250's changed in '65 to Twin I Beam with F-100's.
And to really confuse this issue, I've seen "Heavy" F250's with single I beam just like F350s had thru 66 & beyond also. Those F250s well over 6900# MGVW "break point".
Hey John, I hate the taste of "hat" myself, so I started saying:
4X2 for a 4 wheel with 2wd and 4x4 for the 4 wheel with 4wds and 6X2 for a dually with rear axle drive and 6x6 for a all wheel drive dually etc. etc. Just like military does. It's sort of a lot easier keeping it all straight that way. Amount of wheels 1st, amount of driven wheels 2nd. . . . . FWIW
