Few questions

Ok guys I have a few questions about my new truck
04 CC PSD 4x4 Lariat under 1k miles

1) I am hearing moaning noises when turning the wheel drastically at no or low speeds.

2) It is loud and slow when cold

3) When I punch it there is a 2 second wait before it does anything

4) Everyone said the over head console would be too optimistic but mine is about one mpg pessimistic.

I realize these are phrased in the form of statements rather than questions but my overall question is

Are these symptoms normal...if not what do I do?

In my past experience I have not had problems with #1 with my 2004 f350 cc PSD. #2 is common with mine much less most of them I have seen or been around, #3 is called turbo lag and is common, and in regards to #4 I would leave it alone, I pray for the day my lie-o-meter shows more miles per gallon than I am actually getting! (mine has been up to 4mpg optimistic) Hope this helps. This forum has been a tremendous help to me so far so hang on and I am sure somebody will have a much more technical response to your concerns!

1) normal power steering pump noise if you hold it on the stops. Check your power steering fluid. If it is really loud, have it checked out.

2) Yep. Give it a few minutes to warm up. Mine is really cold blooded. Switch to a 10W-30 and use a fuel additive like Stanadyne or Power Service.

3) Turbo lag. Normal. I find it responds better to ease into it comparatively rather than punch it to the floor.

4) One of the others will answer this one. I don't have the overhead lie-o-meter.
