If the guy at the dealer said it was a wastegate, RUN! Find another dealer. Was it a service writer? They usually don't know jack. If it was service manager or tech find another dealer. No wastegate. It could be a number of things like VGT actuator.

Well, tell them that your 6.0 doesn't have a wastegate because it is a Variable Geometry Turbo. Tell them to write it up and have it fixed.

man you should of heard my truck I have a 4" turbo back straight pipe and it souned awsome without the turbo on

The turbo wasnt even working it worked once after he reved up the engine and about 5 seconds later it shut off and stayed off, No I showing the guys at ford what my truck done it was in park and already there there aint no way i could of drove it. right when I pulled into ford my turbo just shut off.
