brake light

what does it mean if my brake light comes on? my brakes work just fine. i have a 72 f100. thanks

If you mean the one on the dash it could be the switch on the master cylinder is bad.

yes, i'm talking about the brake light towards the bottom of the dash near the parking brake. i don't know what switch your talking about though. where is it? thanks.

On your brake proportioning valve there is a switch that will activate if the line pressures are different or the switch isn't adjusted properly. Do a search I thought I read something on this a week or so back. Try rotating the connector on the switch.

i never could get mine to go off after i did a complete brake job so i just ended up unplugging mine
