What is the bracket under the dash by the kick panel right behind the emergency brake pedal? ...there is a wire harness tie wrapped to the top of it but other than that I see no use for it...I was thinking of mounting a foot rest on it...Hey there's a novel idea, Mr Ford!
I must be retarted today cause I can't get the pic to post...
Ok there's one in my gallery...

Reason: add image...
I have the Cummins Duramax 5.4L Hemi Magnum Vortec I-Force Endurance gas V8 though.
You realize that you shoulda got the 6.443L! It has more recompressionated output from the dieletic field regenerator. The doubling of this, along with the total post-modulating, indulating torque revistaminer improves your milage by .3%.
twoballsleft,
I just checked mine, and I have the keyless security system module sitting on top of that bracket. I also did not find any other loose wiring harness, so possobly this may explain it. Unfortunately, I only have the old garden variety 6.0 Powerstroke diesel, unlike the incredulengine sported by n578md, which I am currently looking up in the book of World Records
I hope this actually helps you.
John Russell

All for only 2K more...
What a waste of many that 5.4L is...
Yes, but ah aaah! The 6.443L wasn't available in 2003.5! (Hey, wait a minute! Isn't that twin-turbo PSD replacing the 6.0L supposed to be a 6.4L? What do you know that we don't???) I'm surprised you didn't say "No, it's not a Cummins Duramax 5.4L Hemi Magnum Vortec I-Force Endurance gas V8 , it's a Triton!" Well, it's not a Triton because it still has all 8 spark plugs. It's not a Triton V7 (or V9) at all.
BTW TwoBallsLeft, my truck doesn't have a white arrow either. Just a PCM. Maybe Ford has replaced the Powertrain Control Module with a white arrow for 2004?
Thanks Monsta for the pic...So I guess it pretty much remains a mystery? John Russell, I have the keyless security too...wtfo? I got a feeling they just bolt stuff on to get rid of over stocked parts...
I can not believe I am the only one that has a white arrow!
