Steering box fit through floor?

Steering box fit through floor?
Maybe I was just too tired last night, but I'll ask anyway. I pulled the plates off around the steering column so I could pull the column and box out of my 53. I tried every concievable angle but couldn't find one that would allow me to pull the box into the cab. Is there some special trick to it, or does it just not fit through the floor hole?
On the plus side I did get the cab disconnected and pushed back tot he rear of the frame so I can get going on the new crossmembers.

I also pulled my steering gearbox up through the floor after first removing the steering wheel.

Found the magic position and got the box through the floor tonight. Next step is to move my rock-crawler into it's winter home in the other garage so I've got space to really start working on the truck.
