It was tragic that he should have had so terrible an accident - only 9 years ago. His injuries were so severe that his life prognosis was always considered zero, so he got 9 years of life that he used to the full, and did wonderful things for others in his condition. Often, quadroplegia claims lives much sooner than Christopher's. The research that he dedicated his last years to has truly reflected the courage of his predicament, and his astounding love of life. For that he is, and always will be, Superman.
