F150 Axle Codes, Looking For List

F150 Axle Codes, Looking For List
i am tring to find a complete list of axle codes for ford f150's. something like what bob ferguson has done for transmissions. i have a 93 f150 4.9 6 AT with a 3.08 axlle (code 18) which is much too high for towing my boat. i am trying to locate a 4.11 (4.10?) diff but do not know what code to look for on the door or on the axle tag. the ford website is not too helpfull, it lacks info on older models like my 93. i assume my axle is the 8.9 inch semi floating type. it has two notches at the bottom of the rear cover. i have found on this web site that the 3.55 is code 39, and the 4.10 is code 35, unable to find the code for the 3.73. do not know if there are other ratios out there and am not sure if these codes are for the same axle as mine. i assume this axle is also in the econline and bronco. it seems to me that the codes 12, 18 and 19 that i have seen at the junkyard are found in the 80's fords so am not sure if the higher numbers are equal to later models. last question, what year f150s will have an axle which will interchange with a 93?
