I am plannig a project and need to know if the Bronco II ever used a 8.8" rear axle as stock or was it always a 7.5 axle. Also is the width the same as the ranger axle or is the Bronco II slightly wider.
the width of the Ranger is the same.
I know they used 7.5" and 8.0" sets on Rangers. the brake drum diameter has to be checked or you have to convert there too.
I've seen articles on Ford's awesome 9" being converted to on Rangers. A machine shop cuts the axle and diff to fit the diameter of the truck. and it's indestructible.....but expensive conversion
Have fun......Steve
