abs light

I have a 2000 explorer.The abs light is on...I"ve checked the brake fluid,fuses and also disconnected the battery in hopes of getting the light to go off..It comes on and stays on as soon as the vehicle is started.I have 4 wheel disc and all the pads and lines are also fine.Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Also the brakes are working fine..I've had no other problems.
