Don't worry, there are no changes to the basic FTE Purchase Program. While nearly every Ford has been offered to you at $200 below invoice, we've been offering a "special." Super-Dutys have been priced at $500 below invoice, and it's been quite successful. In fact, it's been a little too successful, as I've pretty much ripped through this dealership's S-D allocation for the next few months (I'm not the most popular person with my fellow salespeople right now...). As a result, we'll be going to $300 below invoice for all Super-Duty orders effective Saturday, October 16th. Now, let's answer some questions: any orders I currently have will still be sold at the price agreed, along with any orders I receive by close of business on Friday, October 15th.
On the other side of the allocation table, it looks as though Ford will be giving us more F-150s than we'll know what to do with. So, effective immediately, we will be going to $500 below invoice on all ordered 2005 F-150s. Ford has raised the rebates on the 2005 150s TWICE in the past 10 days, which may just be an indication of things to come. When you factor in our rebate guarantee (all spelled out in the Van Bortel FTE Purchase Program), this could be the ideal time to order your new half-ton. This applies to ALL F-150s, including the new King Ranch. Other dealers might insert that "previous sales excluded" disclaimer here, but not us. If you have a 2005 F-150 already on order, your cost has already been adjusted at this end to include this new lower price.
I've re-read this 4 times to make sure I've covered all the bases, left no stone unturned, no question unanswered. Okay, let the questions begin............
Just curious Jeff, how does allocation work? That's a pretty broad question I guess. How does a dealer increase there allocation of SD's? Is it based on total sales of all vehicles?

That's not a good deal. You can go to www.carsdirect.com and get thousands off invoice. I go there, get a price then take it to a dealer and they will beat it.

Our price of $200-500 below invoice is the actual SELLING price, and does not include any rebates. If you want 0% financing, you cannot buy for "thousands below invoice," as the rebate will be taken away. Our price is a more accurate reflection of cost, as opposed to CarsDirect "come-on" price. But if you want to figure it that way, then fine: I just went to CarsDirect and priced out a 2004 F-150 Lariat SuperCrew. MSRP is $39470, invoice of $34816, and their "Target Price" was $32566, including the $3000 rebate. The FTE price including rebate is $31316, or $1250 BELOW CarsDirect best price. BTW, I had to price it out as a 2004 because CarsDirect would only quote a 2005 if it were a regular cab or supercab; they didn't even have SuperCrews available for pricing yet.
Hey, if anyone wants to take CarsDirect price and use it as leverage at their local dealer for 4 hours of haggling, fine. Or you can save those 4 hours AND $1250 and give me a call. Operators are standing by.....

Ok so your price is more than $200-$500 below invoice. It is actually $3500 below invoice. Why don't you just say that? That's a pretty typical price for a vehilce. $8k to $10k off the MSRP is normal.
In the DC area all the dealerships are doing $10k below MSRP on the F150s. So if you want to make a road trip....I can't recommend a dealer though.

You don't get it. The rebates vary by model, trim, options (such as gasser vs. 6.0L PSD), and region. And as you may know, rebates and incentives change often and every person may have different things they qualify for ("private" offers, such as military rebate, college grad, A/D/X/Z plans, or the ever-popular AQHA). So the ONLY way to have a simple, consistent price plan is to exclude all rebates and incentives. And Jeff doesn't just say $200-500 below invoice -- it's $200-500 below your BEST price, including A/D/X/Z plan. The only caveat there is that if you use one of those plans, you can't use any other private offers.
IMHO, you would be hard-pressed to find as good a deal on an 05 right now as you can get from Jeff at Van Bortel Ford in Rochester, particularly on an 05 F150. Sure, a lot of dealers are blowing out 04's still in inventory. But with Jeff's deal you can order EXACTLY the truck you want, you won't be buying an 04 that's been sitting on a lot over a year, and you know you'll get every dime of rebates and incentives coming to you. And Jeff will GUARANTEE that if the rebates go up OR DOWN, you'll get the maximum rebates either on the day you ordered or the day you take delivery. Good luck finding another dealer that will make that offer.
But if you do find a better offer somewhere else, more power to you! Tell us about it and post some pics!
You are way off base ... you are welcome to your opinion, but you would be much better off to do some research before making statements that highlight your IQ.
Everyone should trust Jeff & his dealership in Rochester, NY.
I bought an Expedition there in July.
I think the whole deal took 15 minutes - it was very easy.
And the dealership is 2 hours away from my house - well worth it.

Jeff- can you offer me a deal under invoice for a F350 XLT CC 4WD 2005? I am prepared to order one locally, but if I can get some additional $ off i may come up there from Pa.
