I am a new member and have been working on 73 thru 79 Ford 4 X 4's for about 20 years. I have owned a 74 Canadian Hi Boy, a 76 F250 Explorer, a 77 F250, a 79 F150, and I now have 79 F250 for plowing snow, and 79 F250/350 Lariat (money pit) that I rebuilding with all the good stuff. 429, lots of L&L products, etc. All have been 4X4 and all fun to work on.
Hi 79Lariat4X4 and welcome to the best family oriented Ford Truck site on the net! I also love that model years trucks. I had a short box 73 that I drove into the ground on some mighty rough roads on a weekly basis for work. A great comfortable truck.

Hi Fordlover1951 and thanks for the welcome. I think I drove all but the two I have now into the ground also, not because of the rough ground you live in, but because of the lake effect snow, hauling wood, and just plain goofing off here in northern IN. Have you seen any blue and white Lariats out your way? I have a nearly complete blue interior, but am still looking for an OE blue and white seat cover, or complete seat if it is in fairly good shape? Take care and thanks again for the welcome.
