Bronco VS. Hummers

Bronco VS. Hummers
I'm a carpenter, and I'm doing a side job for a fairly well-off family. The parents own a H1, as well as other nice vehicles, and the son owns a H2. I was challenged to go do some "mudding" out on the Eglin military reservation against the Hummers with my stock 96 Bronco with 31x10.5 Goodyear Trackers. I finished working for the day around noon today, and we headed out to get dirty. None of the trucks had any problems at first, but then we decided to venture into an area where the Army had been running tanks through a swamp. Things got a little rough, but I'm proud to say that I didn't get stuck even once. The H1 had to pull the H2 out twice with his winch. They were talking chit about my truck before we went out there, but they sure changed there tune after we got back.

must've been unexperienced drivers driving through the mud pits, the Hummer H2 has those big 35 inch tires on there and a 10 inch ground clearance so either the driver didnt know how to punch it through the mudd or just dont know how, i have good buddy who has a H2 he always back tracks out in the country with it, mudd and all and he never gets stuck, but either way you get stuck.. you get stuck.

That just goes to show everyone how bad IFS is. The Original H1 is awesome. The suspension on it is ridiculously good, it even makes novice off-roaders look good. All the H2 is is an overglorified Tahoe. Look how they make --it's all GM parts bin junk with the exception of the body. It has the Tahoe frame with the Heavy Duty front suspension. Weak. All H1 owners should be happy at GM for making the H1 seem that much better, yet, at the same time, they should be peaved for degrading the Hummer nameplate with a parts bin imitation.

There are folks out there that actually take their H2's offroading!?!? I woulda never believed it!! Everyone H2 I've seen has been cruising through town all shiny with a pretty boy sitting behind the wheeling feeling all tough. Not a chance in Hades would one of them take it in the mud, or have a clue where to even find mud.

every time I see an H2 parked, I park my bronco right next to it. this one guy (whome owns an h2 and whome ive parked next to several times) got all mad at me and demanded to know why I insisted on parking next to him. I just walked around front of my bronco, wiped the dust off the bug shield, and said, to remind you what you could have bought. he smirked and replied, yea, but mine is a Hummer and can go anywhere I ever need to go. I replied again, well yea, so can mine, but mine only cost me 4000 dollars. i have never seen a man so angry about a truck.

ive never actually seen an H2 around here off road, like farmboy said, the few around here are all "sittin on dubs", rubber band tires, and big systems, i did see a video, i think posted on here a while back where an H2 was goin up a rocky hill and the steering just completely snapped on it

Goodyear Trackers ?
Way to go Steve,
If I recall the Hx's come with BFG AT/ko which are a darn sight better than you trackers. You must have been doing some fancy driving. I say that because I have some nearly new GY Trackers that came off my BII and were replaced with BFG TA/ko, there is just no comparision in how much better the BFG's are. Not dis'ing your tires, just pointing out how much better your driving must have been.
I also think the Hx's are heavier thay your Bronco. I have never seen a H1 or H2 offroad, but I go to some nasty areas.
Congrats.
