couple electrical(?) problems....

I have a few problems with my '86 Bronco II. First is the dash lights; they don't work... They seem to have stopped working after I removed the stock radio and installed a cd player. The second problem is my 4 wheel drive. I have the electronic 4 wheel drive with the overhead activator. Nothing happens when I press the buttons. The lights come on for a second when starting, nothing unusual there, but I get no response of any kind from pressing the buttons. Recently had a transmission replacement, and a clutch not too long before that. Any help would be appreciated. I keep getting stuck in snow that I would be able to get out of with 4 wheel drive Thanks.

Sounds like something in your four wheel drive isn't connected. Crawl under there and see what you have. Good luck.
