EG analayzer for FE?
Hmmmm, I see that summit has this thing that you somehow hook to your exhaust and then it tells you what your air/fuel ratio is. I have always tuned my carbs by ear. I am wondering, is it worth the $150? Its got 3 little lights, and when you have the "perfect" mixture the middle one lights up. Anyone tried these? Is it a superior method to tune with this gadget, or is it best just to go by what sounds and feels right?

sounds a bit pricey. you can get an O2 sensor and a A/F guage for less.
My questions. Do most of us with dual exhaust need 2 sensors? I have an H-Pipe, could I put it there? I guess that might be too far from the collectors, no?
Ford352V8 , what is the part number you are looking at?
edit: I just priced a Summit Digital A/F gauge with 2 weld ni bungs and 2 sensors...$97 plus shipping. Might be the way to go. Just put a switch in to monitor each side of the motor...or spend another $30 and get another gauge.

No, you only need it in one side. Both sides will run identically anyway, why would you need it in both sides?
When I put the O2 sensor in for my fuel injection, I put it in the collector of the right side header. It's worked good there. I dont think the Holley ECU even has the capability for multiple O2 sensors.

I just thought having one on each side would help diagnose problems..bad valves, cam lobes, ignition etc...You might at least be able to tell which side to look at?
I tune my vehicles with a commercial exhaust gas analyzer just to make sure there are no surprises come smog check.
I found a blown head gasket with one, stuck the sniffer in the radiator (making sure not to suck up coolent).
Only problem is I can't drive around with it unless I get a really long extension cord.

F/A meter
Ford352V8, i'm running a Auto Meter gauge, i think it has 17 LED bars vs 3 that you stated. I used a Cyberdyne for years before. I installed the Auto Meter in a piece of exhaust pipe that mounts under the dash on a bracket. The mount has a large orange LED in a metal tube, this lights when the micro switch on the secondaries begin to open. On the bottom is a switch to read left and right bank O2 sending units. When i switched from and old 1850 holley that had alot of jet changes to a 670 holley, it was jetted perfect out of the box. Had a plugged air bleed, gauge showed it. A fuel pump that had a slow death the gauge responded long before the butt felt the motor lean out.
