Painting Plastic
I am wondering if anyone can give me some advise on how to paint plastic effectively. What I am planning on painting is, a radiator cover and a throttle body cover on a 99 f150. I have heard that it is hard to have paint stick to plastic and I am wondering if there is any tricks to the trade.

Paint doesn't really like to stick to rubber/plastics. If you goto your local automotive paint supplier they should have a plastic adhesion promoter in spray cans. Clean the plastic with plastic prep or lysenol(sp?). Then use the adheision promoter per the directions then lay down some expoxy primer from a can. Then just paint as normal. Should come out good and stick well.
