I got a quote from a local dealer on an 2004 F-150 Heritage SC. The VIN is 2FTRX17W94CA02900 and I live in 46202. I'm getting Z-plan.
MSRP is 28,245. Z-plan was given to me as 23,962.23. With tax makes it ~25,400 and minus 4000 rebate on F-150 Heritage makes it 21,401. Oddly enough this dealer doesn't slip things like "paperwork fees" and "washing water charge" below the bottom line price.
I know there's an additional 1000 for Ford Credit but I don't qualify for Ford Credit at least not thru the instant financing web site, I'll be getting my own financing more than likely.
Sound right? Dad already used his one time Z-plan incentive.

Reason: Adding Ford Credit
I'm not Jeff, but that is the Z Plan price in case you are in a hurry. Med. Toreador Red with Parchment, sounds purty If it is a Z Plan sale, they are not supposed to add bs fees to it.

Just making sure. I'm accustomed to the small town dealer that my nephew works for - he just reaches into his desk and hands me the invoice cards. Problem is since 2004 models were slow to sell, he pretty much is keeping one per model in stock and the rest have to be ordered.
And yes it is very nice, nicely equipped, doesn't have trailer towing package on it so I'll have to get a Reese hitch and the wiring put on there when I go to pull a trailer. Pics will be posted if I decide to take delivery.
The numbers all sound about right to me, but there is an addtional $1,000 if you fianance it through Ford Credit. Well worth it, even if you planned on paying cash. There's no pre-payment penalty on Ford Credit loans, and they can't take the rebate away from you once they give it to you.

Thru the "online" Ford Credit it said that they could not approve me. So the dealer is working on it thru "their channels"
Not planning on paying cash but I'll likely get my own bank loan to pay off the Ford Credit loan, unless by some miracle Ford comes thru with 0.9 or 1.9 for me (ha ha ha)
Couldn't get financed damn ex-wife and her spending habits.
Oh well. Time to start saving for a big down payment.
I got an interesting phone call. The dealer called back and said Ford Motor Credit went ahead and approved me for the loan, so I get the extra $1000 back to make it roughly $20,500 for the F-150 Heritage.
It's one year longer than I really wanted to go on financing [5 year, I really wanted to go 4], rate is supposed to be 8%. So I'm gonna call around and see if a bank can beat that so I can take the $1000 and refi at a better rate.
So piccies will be coming -- if I do end up taking it that is.
I think the were blowing you smoke. If they wouldn't finance you at first then all of a sudden give you 8%. 8% isn't the greatest ever rate, but it isn't in the what lender's call "second chance" loan rate either. I say take the rebate then refinance it with someone else. Good luck and keep up posted, hope to see some pics soon!
If I hold out much longer ... will it be under 20K?
Saleslady called me back today. As of today they (dealer or region not sure) are doing an extra $250 off remaining 2004 trucks for those on A/X/Z. It was a handwritten notice given to the salesforce so I'd guess it's something the sales manager came up with to move out some trucks.
That gets it down to $20,150 for a F-150 Heritage SC.
Just one more phone call to make on Monday to see if I can refi the FMCC and if so, I'm gonna pull the trigger on this deal.
BTW, I was told I'm "Tier I" for FMCC whatever that means.
