Im wanting to mount my mirrors inside the wing window bracket and cut the wing down. I have just filled the old bracket and screwed my mirrors to it but I want to find something that I could use so that I would still have a small window above my mirrors inside the wing bracket. That still allows me to open my wings. Sorry if this doesnt make much sense. Its my first time. If anyone knows of a manufacturer or a product that sounds close to what Im trying to explain please let me know. Your help would be appreciated.
Not sure I follow... You want to mount a mirror at the bottom of the wing window and the find a shorter wing to compensate for the room used by the mirror? Can you get us a pic of what you've done so far? An auto glass shop may be able to cut down the old glass to fit around the mirror... Let us know what you figure out - and pics would be great.
Sounds like it's time for a homemade wing window deal.
Take the window out along with all the gaskets & bottom hinge. Fill in the bottom of the opening with a piece of metal and put the lower hinge on the top of that. Have the glass cut down to fit the new opening.
