I'm about to give up on my attempt to resolve an electrical problem (see "parking lights won't turn off") and I'm curious to know how the dealership is going to approach this.
Are they going to plug it into a computer, determine the exact fault, seek it out and repair it? Or are they going to refer to the schematic and try to hunt the problem manually?
You know where I'm going with this.....should I expect to pay for 4 hours of shop time or 24?
Just wondering if there's any Ford Service employees out there that can tell what to expect.
schematic only, search and destroy mission.....If the dealer has a good electric person it won't take them long, but if they have a so so or no so person, it could be a while, most non-smoked wiring problems can be found in less than an hour, but sometimes it is alot longer. If they look at it for 4 hours, they should have the guts ripped out of it. You may want to look in your yellow pages and see if you have any auto electric places close by before going to the dealer. just my .02 Broken Wire
