Well I just finished the break-in period of my beautiful new '04 5.4 F-150....I'm a big Ford guy obviously, and I never miss a chance to bager the Ch*vy punks in auto. One's got an '02 Suburban, I believe it's a 2500. I think it has a 400, but I'm not sure. We'll be hooking up our hitches sometime soon, any thoughts on the outcome?
lol, my Dad has a '03 Chevy 1500 with the 5.3, I have the '04 F-150 with the 5.4...I thin k my truck is 600lbs hevier and may out pull him, but I can say without a doubt, if we lined them up side by side, he would blow the doors off me.
Hope ya win the pull, but you'll lose the drag race.
Yeah, I would lose in a drag. Chevy thinks that everything's a car, and packs as much hp into them as they can. Ford, on the other hand, realizes that people use trucks to be trucks, and they actually have some torque to em. Quite a bit, actually....Dodge just kinda tries to find a happy medium between the two and fails
I don't promote at all what you are talking about doing, but if your going to do it anyway, you might as well post a photo or two.....
I've broken down ford truck users into categories, you are way out on the end.
Opposite you on the other extreme is the "Only on Sunday" ford truck driver, which means the truck may get driven to church, and to dinner if its not raining.
Then theres the 3 to 5 days a week, not really a commuter, just kinda driven lightly.
Then theres the first level of work truck, the daily dependable driver. The motto here is , "You treat me right and I'll treat you right", or don't break down and leave me stranded and I'll make sure all your fluids are changed on time.
Then there is a real work truck, it hauls, pulls, almost everyday, and yeah it breaks occasionally, but thats okay, it works hard.
And then there are drivers like you, way out there.... you live it, and love it, and pull other trucks with it. God bless America.
