I've kept putting off trying a new battery.. I figured it was probably Ford overengineering the Xmitter to protect us from people scanning it. My Ranger's worked from at least 50 yards away. The 150s is about 2 truck lengths. It'll never help you find the truck in a parking lot. (My Mom would never find her truck if she had one)
mine only works from about 5-7 parking spaces away, its usually easy to find cause even without a lift its still taller than most of the lot plus i always park near lamp posts.
Mine Is The Same Way, Obout Three Of Four Parking Spaces, I Hate It.
I Have A 2000 Windstar And A 98 Escort And I Can Lock And Unlock Both Of Them From My Kitchen Table, And I Don't Have To Be Pointing Them Out The Window, Just Push The Button And You Can Hear The Horn. Not Impressed With The F-150 Remote.
This is going to sound really weird but, try pressing the remote against your chin while biting your teeth together, then press the button. I swear it works!! I had a 1991 Honda Accord that I had an Alpine alarm system put in and its range sucked too. My wife was told by one of her friends to try this and I reacted much like you are now. It does really work, probably adds about 20-30 feet to your remote range. The remote must use your melon as an antenna.

DW, I tried hitting the lock button with the remote up to my chin and I couldn't open my mouth until after I hit the unlock button . So I did it to my mother-in-law and immediately destroyed the remote .
