I have a 1963 F100 and I need a new turn signal switch because mine is faulty. I found one for a 63 Falcon for a good price but I'm not positive if the Falcon has integrated rear brake/turn lights. I was thinking that the two signal switches (the one from the Falcon and the one from the F100) would be similar if not the same exact switch. Does anyone know if the Falcon has the same switch as the F100 or would know where I can find a turn signal switch for an F100 for under $50?
rjs173,
I would follow barry's advice. I have a '63 F100 and after blood, sweat, and tears, I wound up using a '67 Falcon turn signal switch assembly.
It works great, but with all the machine work, many hours invested in improvising, fooling around, and pulling the steering wheel more times than I can count, it's just not worth it.
If you're working on a shoestring budget, you do what you have to do. Just fishing the wires thru the steering column is enough headache in itself. ( And don't make a mistake in the wiring, or you'll burn out the switch, or start a fire under the dash!). I hate those under dash fires. All you can do is jump out of your truck and watch everything burn!
