PCM Relfash

I just got my PCM reflashed today and I believe that I feel better throttle response. My truck was made about 10/03 in KC, Its an F150 XLT Screw 5.4. Will I see any better gas mileage? Its about 12.77 MPH at this time. Oh yea, it feels like the tranny is shifting at better times.

You should, but I cant guarantee it. The new program that has been loaded should address most of what you are already noticing. What kind of fuel do you run? Do you drive like you are on the banks of Daytona, or more reasonable?

I dont takeoff fast but i usally get to speed and stay above it. Usually dont get over 2500 RPM when accelerating unless I need to. After the Relash, the RPMS seem to be lower on the highway. Weird

I got mine flashed 3 days ago... still have the horrible throttle lag (what I was trying to fix). The only thing I can notice is better is the shifting if you just stand on the gas.. it shifts much earlier. It used to rev to the moon, so I'd have to let off to force the shift.

they reflashed My PCM and didnt even ask why. They did the same to my friend too. They said if the program is up to day, they wont flash it. I got my flash sticket under my hood saying it was an approved flash.

Hmm...I got mine done about a month ago and was pretty confident it helped throttle response. They had said they have done a few of them and mine was an early build like yours (09/03) so there was definitley an update to be had. I have the same truck you do (XLT 5.4, 4x4, Screw) and consistently get at least 15mpg with mixed highway and city driving. I got that before the flash though. Not sure what else you can do..good luck!
