What can I reasonably expect to sell a 230,000-mile '95 PSD auto XLT extended cab for, with a bad engine but great everything else? The tranny is a Jasper reman installed about two years ago (maybe 30,000 miles, probably more like half that) and it is 2wd.

It is running and driving still (for a very, very short time I fear) so the buyer would be able to verify everything else is in great shape.

I have no money so I need to sell off the truck with the bad motor to get some other hulk that will drive me to work. Fixing it is not an option, and the more I can get for this truck the less likely I am to have to put another engine into whatever piece of junk I end up getting.

$1000? $2000? The tranny alone cost $2500, I would at least hope to get that out of it.
