speedometer acuracy

just as an fyi, i had my speedometer checked today by aaa. i am running 285/70-17 bfg at's (32.71" diameter). here are the results.
indicated actual
25 25
30 30
35 34
40 39
45 44
50 49
55 54
60 59
65 64
70 69
75 74

it has been brought up before about that a larger tire will correct some of the speedometer error of the stock 265/75-16. this appears to be true.

My GPS says the same thing the faster you go the more off the speedo is.

Likewise, going to the 305-70R-16 Nitto tires brought my speedo readings almost equivalent to actual speeds. It's almost on the money now ... +/-1 MPH.

Also running 305's (Goodyear). My speedo reads the same as my GPS.

Also FYI according to the tire store the 305 and the 285 are the same rotating diameter, the 305 is wider.
