02 ranger audio problems
the sound quality of my stock am/fm radio with single cd and stock speakers on my 02 ranger xlt ext cab 4 door is not very good, does anyone know if its because the speakers arent that good, the radio isnt powerful enough or is it both?

Maybe a mixture of both. I know the stock speakers in my 02 Ranger were garbage, from an audiophile POV. Do you get bad sound with radio as well as CD (just making sure it isn't an antenna issue)?
You could look at picking up a somewhat inexpensive pair and replace the ones in the doors and see if the sound quality has a significant increase. Then you know it was speakers. For the 02 Ranger you will need 6x8 (5x7 from some manufacturers) for all 4 corners, if you go with replacing them all.
It could also be a bad wire somewhere and that is causing issues.
